This may sound crazy, but did any one else have the distance of the Half Marathon being over 13.1 miles?

I have used this Garmin GPS for the past couple of years and it has always been spot on accurate. I started it and finished it right at the start and finish lines. My reading was 13.27 miles. Anyone else?

The LR Marathon was an outstanding event!

Thanks.

I actually clocked 13.54 and hit start exactly at the start line. Garmin is typically +/- 3% from what I understand.

It only means you did not run the course at the exact tangents that it was marked on.

Great so I got more than my money's worth to the tune of .3 miles! No wonder I was sore Monday! Great race!

arkrunr is correct. we have 3 Garmins and if we run 10 or more they are always off from each other. Remember the acuracy can be off on these or all GPS unit by 50-60 ft. check your acuracy under the GPS info. 50ft adds up over the miles.
