Race Numbers

(1) All race registrants must receive a single unique race number.  Duplication of numbers is not permitted
(2) Bib tear away tag must have barcode label attached.  Barcode must be Code 3 of 9 symbology with no leading zeros.
(3) Race numbers must have an established range for race and division.  For example:  runner number range could be 1 - 500, walker number range could be 501 - 600, wheelchair number range could be 601 - 610.
(4) If an event has two different race distances being run concurrently, i.e. 5K and 10K, each race should have different color race numbers to eliminate confusion at the finish line.
(5) Carefully check all race numbers to ensure that the number on the tear away tag is readable, accurate and that the barcode label is properly attached.
(6) In addition to the barcode, the tear tag must include runner name, age and sex.  Permanent waterproof ink (Sharpie pen or equivalent) must be used or a stick-on pre-printed label.
