How do I list my race on the calendar?

There is an online form provided for this purpose. It is appropriately named the List Race Form and a text link to it is under the "Features" heading on the home page at upper right. All race information in the first section of the form is required. Section 2 and 3 information is optional.

Your race information is not posted immediately after form submission. It is reviewed before being uploaded. You may be contacted to verify your information.

How can I get my race results posted?

ArkansasRunner.Com will post the results of any race if the data is provided in the proper file format. Requirements are as follows:

  1. Race results should be e-mailed as an attached Microsoft Excel file.
  2. All runners must be included. Partial results or award lists will not be posted. All runners in your race deserve recognition.
  3. List all runners in chronological order. Do not include males/females or runners/walkers in the same list. Separate all finishers by gender and division.
  4. Include as much data for each runner as possible, i.e., name, city, state, age and finish time. Only name and time do not make for a good page presentation.
  5. Use Proper Case. ALL UPPER CASE or all lower case data should be reformatted.
  6. Include your Race Name, City and State (2 letter abbreviation) and the date of your event.
  7. A properly formatted, downloadable template file is provided for your convenience. To download, open and modify this file, you must have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer.

How can I get my race course certified?

USATF certification for your race course is strongly recommended.

Typical certification fees for a 5K race distance are in the range of $300 to $400. There are other expenses such as 1)setting up a calibration course close to your race (if there is not already one nearby) and 2)registration fees which are due to the USATF upon filing of the paperwork.

USATF course certification is good for 10 years as long as there are no construction changes to the roadway where your course is located.

ArkansasRunner.Com can put you in touch with experienced USATF course certifiers throughout the state.

My Forum log in doesn't work. What is wrong?

All server side functions of the Forum appear to be working normally.

Some, if not all, of the log in problems that you may be experiencing are attributable to out of date browsers.

For PC users:
Go to Microsoft.Com and download the latest IE6+ browser.

For MAC users:
Since Microsoft is not going to upgrade the MAC version of Internet Explorer past the IE5 version, it is recommended that you use the Safari browser provided with the MAC OS. Go to Apple.Com and download the latest version of Safari.

This should resolve most of your log in problems. There may be other problems which are attributable to your browser settings, firewalls, spam/bulk mail filters and possibly dynamic IP address assignments. These must be resolved on an individual basis, as each user may desire different levels of security or privacy.

Help with browser settings--
The first obvious issue is to make sure you are using the correct username and password. Both are CaSe SeNsiTivE.
The following settings are for Internet Explorer 6.0.x.

1) Click on "Tools" in the command line, select "Internet Options"
2) Select "General" tab, delete temp internet files, delete cookies, set "Days to keep pages in history" to 0, do not delete "History"
3) Select "Security" tab, click "Internet" icon, click "Custom Level" button, scroll to bottom under "user authentication", select "automatic logon with username and password", select OK
4) Click on "Intranet" icon and follow same steps as in 3).
5) Select "Privacy" tab and set slider to Medium. In "Web Sites" box, click on "Edit". Type arkansasrunner.com (no www or http://) in the "Address of Web Site" box, click "Allow", click OK.
6) Click OK to completely exit the Internet Tools dialog box.

You should now be able to log on and make the Forum work properly.
Feel free to e-mail concerning any usability issue.
